Sell and Rent Back

Sell your house quick and avoid being evicted by the lender

Eviction from your home due to mortgage arrears comes with stigma and heartache. You would have to find somewhere else to live, leave friends and neighbours and perhaps even move children to another school. There is a way to avoid eviction if you have fallen behind on the mortgage with no hope of catching up and that is to sell your house.

Selling your home to avoid being repossessed is all well and good but you would still have to leave. That is unless you looked into a sale and rent back agreement. By selling your home to a specialist company and then paying the company rent on a monthly basis  could stay as a tenant in the property for a fixed period of time.

The company offering a sale and rent back agreement should be regulated by the FSA.  They should also be able to provide you with the information you would need to be able to put a stop to any court proceedings which would allow time for the sale of the property to go through. When considering a sale and rent back agreement also consider other options as selling this way may not be the most suitable option.
