Sell your home and then choose to rent it back
There are numerous possibilities where a sell and rent back agreement may be needed. One of the main reasons why people choose to take this as an option is when they can no longer afford to keep up their mortgage repayments. If you are faced with repossession by the lender yet cannot stand the thought of losing your home, then you may be able to sell your home and then rent it back for a certain time frame.
Another reason where selling and renting back might be suitable is when divorcing and one of the partners wants to remain in the home. If there are young children involved then moving could make divorce more stressful on them. However by taking a sale and rent back agreement you would not have to move out of the home and could live in it as a tenant, for the agreed period.
Emigration is also another reason where such as deal could work. If you wanted to tie up all loose ends then you could choose to sell your home in plenty of time to a company offering a sale and rent back agreement.
