Sell your home and then choose to rent it back
There are numerous possibilities where a rent back option may be needed. One of the main reasons why people choose to take this as an option is when they can no longer afford to keep up their mortgage repayments. If you are faced with repossession by the lender yet cannot stand the thought of losing your home, then you could sell your home and the rent it with the view to buying it back when your circumstances have changed for the better.
Another reason where selling and renting back might be suitable is when divorcing and one of the partners wants to remain in the home. If there are young children involved then moving could make divorce more stressful on them. However by taking a rent back option you would not have to move out of the home and could live in it as a tenant. If you chose you could also buy it back when your finances allowed it.
Emigration is also another reason where such as deal could work. If you wanted to tie up all loose ends then you could choose to sell your home in plenty of time to a sell and rent company and then pay monthly rent to remain in the property until the day came when you moved.
