Sell and Rent Back

Jobs and homes being lost in recession

With an estimate of over 400,000 jobs been cut within the next two years throughout the UK there seems to be no silver cloud on the horizon for the millions of homeowners who face mortgage arrears if they lose their job. A loss of income due to unemployment is one of the main reasons, along with sickness and accident, why mortgage arrears occur. Many of these homeowners then sadly go onto losing their homes to repossession. One way of avoiding losing your home to repossession is to sell. However if you are many months behind on your mortgage and your lender is already in the process of taking you to court you need a house sale.

If you put your home on the market you often get anything but house sales, in fact many times your home can be on the market for many months or even remain unsold. If you want a guaranteed sale then you might want to consider selling to a company that offers a sale and rent back agreement who allows you to remain in the property by paying rent each month. Usually when selling your home this way the rental period is fixed.
