If you have gotten into arrears with the mortgage and repossession is imminent as you are unable to catch up then you could look into being able to sell your house with a company offering to buy your home and then rent it back to you.

When choosing this option you do have to weigh up the pros and cons, such as the period of rental and the fact that you generally will not get over 70% of the value.

You could then get a written valuation as to how much they would pay for your home, how much rent you would have to pay to stay on in the property. If all went well and both sides were happy the sale of the property could go through and the company may show you how to stop a repossession order while the sale completed.
