How I avoided having my home repossessed by the mortgage lender

Getting into mortgage arrears is devastating, but not being able to pay the mortgage each month leads to the lender taking repossession through the courts. Luckily I had heard of companies who bought your home from you for a cash sum and then allowed you to remain in the property by looking into a sale and rent back agreement.

When this happened to me I got in touch with a great UK buy and rent back company and sold and chose to rent back my home. I understood that there was fixed rental period and no guarantee of being able to remain in the property for the long term. I also checked all other options open to me before going ahead with the sale and rent back agreement.

While I was not offering the full value of my home I did not have to pay fees for estate agents and solicitors.  I found this a much better alternative to losing my home and all the memories in it by the lender having me evicted.
