Sell and Rent Back

Government campaign extended to provide repossession advice

The Government campaign offering advice free of charge to those faced with mortgage arrears has been extended following the revision of the predictions for repossession from the Council of Mortgage lenders. The housing minister has said that repossession should only be as the very last resort yet there has been a slight increase for repossession during the last three months.

While free impartial help from the Government has helped many stay in their homes, for others it provides no help and they are faced with the real possibility of becoming one of the statistics. If you fall into this category then you may wish to look into other options such as being able to sell house and rent back with the option of being able to buy it back in the future.

Sell home and rent back options are available with many companies but if you are considering selling to rent back then you may wish to look for a company that is backed by the FSA to ensure that you are offered the best deal possible for your particular needs. When taking a sell and rent back the company typically offers you the option of being able to buy back and become the homeowner again in the future.
