Find a cash home buyer with a sell and rent back
When faced with the possibility of losing your home to repossession you could choose to sell your home to avoid having the lender take it from you. While this would allow you to avoid the stigma associated with repossession it would mean that you would have to move out. Along with this there is also the problem of being able to find a cash home buyer in time to stave of an eviction order.
Another option of selling would be to get in touch with a regulated company that offers you a sale and rent back agreement. By choosing to sell your home to such a company you may be able to pay off your mortgage, avoid being evicted from your home and then pay rent which is more affordable than the mortgage you were struggling to pay.
A sale and rent back agreement is just one of the options you may wish to consider. There are others that may be more suitable. You also have to weigh up the fact that you typically do not get 100% of the value of the property and there is no lifetime rental option. A sale and rent back agreement might not be the best option. There may be other options available.
We are fully regulated to advise on, arrange and enter into regulated sale and rent back agreements.
