Sell and Rent Back

Can rent back schemes help those in financial difficulty?

If you are struggling financially and are not sure where to turn then help is not far away. You can get information and advice if you have got into debt above your head from organisations such as the Citizens Advice or a debt specialist. Another option that might be suitable which can be considered and especially so if you cannot keep up with your mortgage repayments is to sell property and rent it back

When considering this as an option you will be able to sell your home using a specialist who then allows you to rent it back for a period of time and then when financially secure buy it back at a pre-agreed price. There are many benefits to using a specialist, there will be no legal costs to pay, you will get a personal tailor made solution for your circumstances and there are no let downs with broken chains. However if you decide to sell your home and rent it back there is a downside too.

There will be no guarantee if you decide to rent back just how long you are able to rent it over a long term period. There is no lifetime guarantee and you have to give a great deal of thought to this before going for the deal. Another consideration if you wish to sell and rent back is that your home is offered for a discounted price. In the majority of cases this will be around 80% of the market value.
